Training
Our staff are specially selected and trained to ensure that they are suitable to carry out their duties.
All staff undergo an in-depth induction programme covering topics such as principles of care, infection control, health and safety, moving and handling, medications and food hygiene. They then work under supervision until we are confident that they have the skills they need.
Specialist training e.g. dementia management, is provided as required.
Every year we provide refresher training so that our employees can update their knowledge.
Staff are encouraged to register for formal qualifications such as NVQ in Health and Social Care. Many of our staff already have the NVQ level 2 or 3 qualification.
Home Support has a company training plan which is reviewed every year.
